We're taking the plunge and putting the house on the market this coming week
Have been looking at ways to cut costs and found an estate agent (lincs & Cambs) doing a £199 upfront fee and £299 on sale - advertise you on right move and all the other big websites and put up a board (Elkdeer) - like selling on your own but with a bit of support etc . Happy days
... but my rave at the moment is about hips4u (www.hip4u.com) - they have only charged £210 (inv vat) which is well under half price of estate agent quotes anyway but they have been FANTASTIC - we filled out a web form on thurs evening (after work hours) they rang fri and took payment, told us what would happen next etc then within 5 mins of call got the PIQ email and within 20 mins the EPC guy was ringing to arrange appointment to sor that part - he came the following lunchtime and 4 hours later we have our HIP pack all sale ready - just the local council search they'll add in in the next 2 working days!! So impressed with the speed, price & quailty of it all.
Had to share Hope it helps someone.

i started my house selling venture yesterday - getting valued on friday and then straight on the market - well straight after the hip's been done anyway. i think he quoted me either £300 or £399.
i got the paperwork through today and it doesn't mention the HIP but it does say the total fees for sale are £488.88.
i'll just have a look at rightmove and see if the hip co operate in my area.0 -
I used Hips 4 U when I sold last year - and they were excellent - professional and good valueDownshifted
September GC £251.21/£250 October £248.82/£250 January £159.53/£2000 -
Yes I used Hips 4 U too.0

care to share the internet address for the HIP, then we can commen on itMy posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:
My bad spelling...well I rush type these opinions on my own time, so sorry, but they are free.:o0 -
Another thumbs up for Hips4u, several of my clients have used them and there were very quick providing us with the link so we could begin marketing. My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to sayIgnore......check!0

Just goes to show how a big, national, reasonably-priced provider can often (no, not always!) beat the local provider.0

When I need a HIP I will choose someone who is up to date with current HIP regulations.....My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks.
