does anyone think that it makes a difference if you agree to being sent emails from whatever company is running the competition?

i find trying to keep a positive attitude, giving thanks to the posters, congratulating the winners, thanking the comping fairy even if i've not won for a few days all helps, it takes a lot of time up posting the comps so must be harder for the ones who continuously post comps day in & day out to win, i often wonder how such as weeowen, laks, mj38, MartinsDoll to name a few ever find the time to enter & win :eek:
just keep entering as many as you can, i'm sure comping fairy will be coming soon to you, lots of good luck xx

I think the tix win is a good one, I waited much longer for my first win and I do find that winning comps is like busses.....

I don't think it makes any difference. I won a weekend in Lisbon by entering by sending email, with the words OPT OUT at the top of the email..
Everyone has different ways of entering, some enter all the new comps posted each day, but I found that hard to remember what i had entered, so i just enter comps ending tomorrow and any regular new comps.
I find that i dont miss any comps that i am interested in this way.
Like most others, I enter 100s a day.
It's down to luck and how many you chose to enter, I think anyway.
Am sure you will win something soon, with a bit of persistance.

I'm having a dry spell win-wise as well. Nothing since december (although I'm pretending these were january as that's when they arrived!). I know I don't enter as many as some - I don't have the time or the inclination for that.

I really hope you get something soon - chances are it must happen sooner or later (hopefully not too much later!)

I'm the same - but dry from November !!!!
I had a prize through the post recently, and I thought my luck had changed, but on further investigation the competition end date was November (again) !!
:eek: I also ask the question....what am I doing wrong ????????

I think I've been very lucky since Novemeber when I started. I started doing from page 1 , 2 and so on and so on. Then a friend said just keep up to date with end dates and do your dailies and you'll be fine. I listened to her advice and I've won loads of stuff, I do enter 100 odd a day adding that to dailes makes possibly 150 a day.

Word of warning to new compers, make sure you get ahead of yourself doing end dates because the end of month is hectic as anything. The last day in every month there is normally 30 to 40 pages worth. It's enough to give you grey hair :rotfl:
