Hi all, lovely sunny day then suddenly poured with rain.

DD 'forgot' it was mothers day but agreed to make me a cup of tea- didnt think she should make me breakfast as we were having lunch out. Doesn't matter as we had a lovely pampering evening last night.

    Today I have / will :

    • Went into town for meal and wandered round shops without spending anything extra.
    • checked banks - 13 days to payday
    • online surveys - done a few
    • competitions
    • do meal plan for next week - only need to buy for 4 days as DD at relatives - i can eat whatever we have in.
    • shopping list sticking to meal plan
    • hokey cokey
    • email presentation for next weeks interview to HR.
Really need to get housework done but I think it will be minimal :o It is mothers day after all.:)

Hi can get this recipe pls? :)

I use a recipe posted on mse, as posted by the now famous Twink:

    8oz sr flour
    8oz sugar
    8oz porridge oats
    8oz margarine
    1tbsp golden syrup
    1tbsp hot water
    1/2 tsp bic soda
mix flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan stir in bic soda and add to dry mix, mix well, make smallish balls and put on greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork, 180oc for 15 mins, cool on the tray, you just want them golden in oven not brown

    8ozs = 225 grams

They always come out lovely and I am constantly asked by various people to make them :)

  • Welcome determined new MS... stick on here.. it will keep you motivated and these lovely people are always full of ideas to help save money!

    Evening all..
Boo to going to work tomorrow.. although i think it will be a rest in comparison to this weekend - haven't stopped.

Decided last night at 8.45pm that now that I'm getting my life together, sorting out my weight and my debt I should buy a wardrobe! OH and I moved into our current house in august and have all clothes on rails which look a mess in the bedroom - i;m messy at the best of times but the bedroom has just been so depressing because it looks so untidy even when its tidy. I started thinking about a wardrobe because I picked up a tesco direct catalogue and they have coupons inside for money off furniture. I found a good deal on a wardrobe drawers and bedside cabinet and was about to order when i thought i'd just check Ikea - they had an even better deal and were open tiol 10 - so hopped in the car at 9pm and got there for 9.30 - brilliant. Up til 1.30 am making bedside tables, then up at 9am this morning and constructing wardrobe til 1pm - Me and OH!!
Then til 4pm putting the bed back together as had to dismantle to have space to make wardrobe!!
4pm rushed off to shops to get Mothers day present for OH nan - then off visiiting nan - 1 hour there 1 hour stay 1 hour back back 7.30... tidy up...
8.30 sat down and had something to eat for 1st time today!! !
Phew - so tired now but so so pleased about having a wardrobe - I know its not a good DF move but I know its going to help my state of mind which in turn will help me stay ontop of things!!

Need to replace some fencing in the garden this weekend - anyone got any good tips for cheap fencing...please let me know!

we'll be fitting them ourselves.. so that will be next weekends tasks!!

Everyone seems to have had a good weekend ..I get paid tomorrow - can not wait - going to pay a chunk off my loan... hopefully get it less than 3000 which will be amazing !

    See you all tomorro x
