Weeekend Sat/Sun 13th/14th March - What small DFW things have you done this weekend?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Good morning on this lovely sunny Saturday

Well, I didn't expect to be starting the thread this morning - are you all having lie-ins?!:rotfl:
I felt really rough last night, didn't move off the sofa, but after a good sleep I feel much better - darn bug me and DD2 had earler this week made a bit of a reappearance
Anyway, I have to pick up DD2 from her sleepover in an hour, then take both girls to gym. We're nipping into town after lunch so they can buy my Mother's Day pressie....bless.Then another evening watching tv....lovely
Ok, my list for today then:
(that's me waving at you all!)
Have a lovely Saturday everyone:T

- Buy some GHDs from ebay using birthday money from mum and dad - aiming to get the best possible bargain!

Tax credit application has just arrived in the post - another thing to do today!
Slighly concerned though as it wants income details from tax year 2008/09 - things very different now as I am not working and DH is on a much lower wage. Anyone else had this issue?
Lots of love

i think u'll have to use the income details for that year - and then maybe ring them up to alter your income once they have processed your claim. Or is there not on the form a place to put expected income for 2010/11? They can be quite helpful if you ring......sometimes best of luck xxTax credit application has just arrived in the post - another thing to do today!

Yes I told them the wage as requested on the form, then phoned them up and told them this is much higher than what I am on now and they should adjust it for you. Whatever you do post the form recorded, I had no end of trouble because they said they never received my form. In the end it worked in my favour as got £50 compensation because I was told they did receive it, when they didn't and generally messed about on the phone. No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
