    morning all :hello:

    plans for today:
get worming tablets down cats - this is going to be difficult on my own

    loki x

I get stuff called Profender from my vet for my cats - you just put it on the backs of their necks just like the flea treatment. No more tablets - it has changed my life, and no more scars to add to my large collection of 'worming cat injuries' :D

Few things today from me -

    - stocked up on a few toiletries at the well-cheap B&M's
    - washed my car myself for free
    - saved £17 it would have cost and got my mum to cut my hair :rotfl:

tomorrow is going to be a long, free dog walk somewhere with a flask of tea :)

oh, and i recently helped my mum write a letter of complaint to an airline for a recent flight delay after reading a thread on MSE about passenger rights and the airline has just sent her a £100 cheque :):)

  • Hi can i join pls? I am totally obsessed with this forum and have to get up early to indulge my obsession without my oh feeling neglected (asleep at the mo;)).

    DF things yesterday:
    1. found out on Fri that I have been paying 2% more nat ins than I'm supposed to for 3 years!!! and this month will get £378 back for 2009/10 in my salary so used it to purchase new insurance for car. So relieved as thought I was going to have to pay in installments this year :T (will get the rest for years march 2007-2009 directly from IR in a couple of months & will go directly to my debt)
    2. Went and bought laminate flooring for my kitchen yesterday as B&Q had 20% off - is this technically DF? it was something we def needed, have been renovating our house since we moved in in Aug 2008 decorated kitchen last year but have been waiting to get the money to do flooring. Was quoted £250 from flooring shop and got it for £133!
    3. Worked extremely hard and efficiently at work yest - tech not DF but ensuring I still have a job to pay the bills!!!
    4. Had leftover chilli I made the day b4
    5. Bought compost to plant seeds tomorrow - so exciting!!
    Today I will:
    1. do washing on quick wash @ 30, dry outside?
    2. freeze left over chilli for lunches next week
    3. make 2x banana bread and freeze 1 for sweet treats throughout week & also use up v ripe bananas
    4. go to the gym, technically not MS but am tied in until Aug so trying to make the most of what I am spending. Am also doing a running programme so I can build up to running so when contract finishes I can take up running for free. Although I will loose the 2x weekly suanas I'm currently enjoying...
I think that's enough! the rest of the time I intend to be as lazy as I possibly can be and enjoy not working :T
    DF as at 30/12/16
    Wombling 2026: £25.70
    Grocery spend challenge Feb £285.11/£250
    GC annual £389.25/£2700
    Eating out budget: £ 48.87/£300
    Extra cash earned 2026: £185

Good morning all :hello: - just!

Happy mothers day to all the lovely yummy mummys :T

Busy day already for me - loving the sunshine :)
    • Left house at 7.20am to hit some boot sales with DH and pup. First ones of the season - very quiet and didn't get anything
    • Which means today is a NSD :)
    • Had a lovely drive up the coast - found a lovely beach which we loved, especially pup!
    • Popped in to see nana to give m-day flowers - stopped for a cuppa and a catch up
    • Phone mum as she is away for weekend
    • Washing on at 30, another load to do today, airer/line dry
    • Meal plan and stick to SW
    • Got someone popping in later to look at DH motorbike - I'll be so happy when it's gone!
    • Watch bit of Formula One
    • Catch up with people on facebook and free texts
    • Call grandad using free minutes
    • Update address book
    • Cut out receipes/meal ideas from magazine I won at Slimming World and put in my own little book
    • Couple of hours uni reading and essay timeline planning
    • Another search for car insurance - not impressed with quotes yesterday at all. Go through Quidco if possbile.
    • Finish tax credit application
    • Change one of DH's SO's
    • Get house and lovely and tidy
    • Have a look at comps thread - try and enter at least 10
Phew - thats enough for today!

Hi all - Congratulations Lottebear, and WELL DONE!

Welcome determined new ms, what a fantastic start with your NI rebate!

I have had the most fabulous Mother's Day so far. I was woken by T with a lovely handmade card, chocs and a fried egg sandwich. 'Breakfast is solved' he said as he presented it to me! :rotfl:Then an utterly gorgeous bouquet of flowers was delivered. B and T had entered a local competition and won them for me, along with £45 worth of vouchers for some local shops!:jI really feel so lucky today, and the kids were so proud of themselves.

I've had a LS weekend so far, spent catching up with friends, enjoying the sunshine and walking on the beach. We have had a house-guest this weekend- T's classroom teddybear (!)- so we have been showing him a good time.

Off to the car booty in a minute then we are meeting the family later at my Mum's.

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend xxxxx L x

    Hello all!
Don't worry determined new ms, we sort of tend to use this as a to do list as well as a DFW list!
    - Went out this morning for a wander round town, went for coffee and cake with OH and DD, bit of a treat.
    - Came home and packed up my ebaying to post tomorrow, payment dependant...earnt £124 not including postage and packing!
    - Used Hetty upstairs and tried out all attachments, still excited about her
    - Need to chop and prep carrots for freezer
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!
