Morning peeps
lovely bright and sunny here this morning, bit nippy but hopefully will warm up later.
I`m already up and showered etc even though i was still awake at three thirty this morning  i just couldn`t nod off so was watching telly and browsing on here. Bet i need a nap later.
On the plus side i got lots of washing done whilst the electricity was cheap rate so happy with that. Doggies will be walked shortly and then i`m doing the supermarket run with dad. Later i hope to spend a bit of time in the garden. I need to drill some holes in the pots that i bought yesterday. I think that i shall leave some too and experiment with self watering containers this year as having so many pots means that they all need watering each day in the summer months and its quite time consuming.
Snoozer - Get those feet up and have a nice easy day
Catch you all later guys, have a nice day!
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Morning all,
I was awake before six this morning, but dozed on and off till just after 8, so feel very refreshed this morning.
I did a wash last night which has been on the airer, another one in the wm, and another to follow, will get it all on he line, its a bit grey but nice and breezy.
I got my mum a huge box of chocs yesterday in Mr T reduced from £7 to £3 :T, and a nice card, we have a busy weekend, but I will run them up to her tomorrow.
OH is at the car boot sale, but when he gets back we will go and collect the skirting for dd's room, hopefully he will fit it today or tomorrow, and then I can get on with the painting.
We will also go and collect all my garden pots, and the garden table and chairs, which have been in storage at my BIL's workshop, it will be nice to get all my pots back, and start some veg off :T
Dinner tonight will be cheese and onion soup ( I think it was mummysavers recipe) with a few old wrinkly corgettes hidden in it
, with nice crusty bread, lunch will probably be a portion of chips grabbed from somewhere while we are out
DD is off to meet her mates on town this afternoon, she has some money left from her holiday, and I think its burning a hole in her pocket
Donny Hope you are ok hun xx
Jayward, have not seen you for a while xx
Haribo, how is the new job going ??
OK have good days all xx0 -
Morning all.................(((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) if you need one.
What a lovely bright sunny morning. OH said the sun woke him at 6.30....glad he did not wake me up...........
The washer is on with a white load, it will be hung on the line when the washer is finished. Nice to see clothes blowing on the line again, the wind appears to be fairly strong, the bush outside the window is swaying a bit.
No real plans for today, OH will be out in the garden again, we bought manure yesterday and it was delivered last night. The chap told me what to use on the dreaded vinca and also told OH what to use to get the moss out of the grass without killing the grass off. Gardeners world reminded me last night that its time to prune the rosrs, we generally wait an extra 2 weeks up here, so I will be giving them a haircut in a couple of weeks. One of the climbing roses is going into the front against the house, we have some perpetual sweet peas there as well, the old growth needs cutting back on those too.
Casserole beef for supper tonight, need to get it started, so offsky for now.....see y'all later..........Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Morning all
Well it looks quite nice hear in Kent, staying at an exclusive B&B in a Royal town, courtesy of a MSEer on another board, even with the use of her PC. DS came down last night straight from work at London and we went to a restaurant (Pembury) nearby for a very nice meal.
Today we will chill and have a look around the town later.
Dad's funeral organised for Thursday so will be involved with other bits towards that once we get home.
Congrats to sistercas's DD - I must be honest and think these "Prom's" are OOT, and outside most folks incomes, and do not teach the kids that once they leave school they can only do things and buy gowns they can afford.
MSD hope the meeting gives some results, not just the satisfaction of putting your point over.
Smoky Hope LO learns fro his "lesson" - Think you are right that the phrase may have had the desired effect.:rotfl:Glad your boiler is fixed.
Lowsey - I always work on the assumption is the worst they can say is no! So go and try it, if they agree you get new boots;)
Bitsy - thanks I have ordered the seeds,
HH - you have got it slightly wrong, the treat for Mother's Day is they cook for you:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
redruby-Taplady - will be back to the Scrabble soon - H-J are you going to finish that game:D
Jayward - sorry to miss you on msn, she tells me a (new) plumber is starting on Tuesday, so she will get the bath out of the lounge:rotfl::rotfl:

Good Morning Everyone!
Gorgeous day in sunny Glasgow. Except it's brrrrr cold. OH and DS2 and friend off to football, wee ones all thermals and gloves, because "it's not summer yet, mum!" LOL Don't know what the plans are for today, I want to scrub the house out, the sun always makes me feel like cleaning, which explains why the house has been a pit for months!
I also want to go and get some garden bits and pieces, which will be my Mother's Day pressie from the boys.
OH is out to watch the Rugby I think this afternoon, and I think me and the boys will go to the park or visit gran, we'll see what happens.
Off to put the washing on the line. Have a gorgeous day, OS or not, and hugs to you all.
Jackie X
PS Meant to say to jc I have RA and it's not as scary as some of the stuff on the internet makes out, for me. OTOH my MIL has it and suffers quite badly, but she also has Asthma, and has to use steriods instead of anti inflammatory neds, which have caused her some related problems from them. I use a lot of dietary control over my flare ups, and know which food are particular triggers for me, it's worth looking into that side of things. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

BitterandTwisted – I use a falafel recipe from Audrey Eyton’s F2 diet:
410g can chickpeas – drained and rinsed
1 lemon
2 garlic cloves
3 spring onions
1 tbsp olive oil
½ tsp ground cumin
2-3 tbsp chopped coriander
Salt & pepper
Put everything in a blender (having zested the lemon – and you only need about a tablespoon of juice from it) and whizz. Shape into balls (about 12) and place on a non-stick baking tray (I put greaseproof paper on first). Bake for 15-20 minutes turning half way through, on 200C or Gas Mark 6. Very yummy and they freeze too.
Very busy day today – seeing the mortgage people at noon, then house viewings in the afternoon followed by a walk in the woods and a drink in the pub. Washing is on the line, caramel shortbread base in the oven, chicken defrosting in the freezer. Hoping to get some backing done this weekend – dog is hoping for some pupcakes so may have to oblige him!
Got to get going – so much to do! Will catch up with everybody later.

N9eav - I've been using Quidco for a few months now on recommendation of sister J and haven't had any problems. Funnily enough, it was car insurance that got me started too!
My mum and dad are coming for afternoon tea tomorrow so I'll be baking today. Haven't really decided what to do yet but I'm thinking of making scones and whipping some cream to go with them and maybe Economy Gastronomy Anytime Muffins and possibly fairy cakes since I'll have the oven on and have two baking trays.
My little foster-cat Ruby is going to the vet today for a post-op check and (I hope) to have the drain removed from her tummy. She's feeling very sorry for herself at the moment as she's wearing a Buster collar and isn't able to do all the things she wants to.
Need to have a goodly tidy up and possibly a hoover although I'll probably wait and just whizz round tomorrow before the visitors arrive.
Hope everyone has a good day
