Decided to make a start on all those gooseberries in my old chest freezer. Thought I would make a gooseberry sponge pudding only problem was I nearly hauled out a bag of brussel sprouts! (looked just the same) Yuk would have meant sprout sponge pudding tonight!!!! That will teach me to label everything in freezer especially when all is packed in the same sort of blue poly bags!
Living out of our freezer this month is certainly going to be an adventure! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

You can also use cheap foam bath in the liquid soap dispenser too. I do that very often. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I'd like to join in with the months grocery challenge too. At the moment I probably spend about £50 a week including milk and bread bought every couple of days - for 2 adults and 3 children.
Tonight I did an online shop with sainsburys as I had a £10 voucher so paid £20 in total and have all my meals planned for the next week (I am using contents of very full freezer though). Luckily have both Aldi and Lidl close by and Aldi in walking distance. I like the idea of one of the previous posts of walking to get perishables so you only buy what you actually need and will try this now. It will be good exercise and hopefully lower my wasted food and shopping bill.0 -
I'm going to attempt to spend £10 a week, £40 for the whole of Feb. It's only me and the cat, I'll probably end up forking out for his food. Greedy little !!!!!!.0

Couldnt believe the cost of orange squash, 0.16 for 1 litre value bottles, Robinsons 3 litre bottle £2.59. Slight difference and the value one was no added sugar too.
have you tasted the orange squash yet? i usually get asda's own which is very nice (orange and pineapple) but have never been brave enough to try value stuff. married to the man of my dreams! 9-08-090 -

Tesco value orange squash tastes ok, a slightly weaker than Robinsons but its fine. My kids didnt know the difference put it that way lol“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

The kids like cadbury's drinking chocolate but they drink it like theyve got shares in the company.I started to buy asda drinking choc and cadburys and mix em together and put them in cadburys jars, then when they were used to that I bought Asdas only and put it in cadbury Jars. Now I just buy the Asda stuff and they say it is just as good:)0

excellent thread. Its inspired me to delve into the back of the freezer, a long forgotten zone in our house! If anyone could help me with a query I'd be forever gratfull, there's a website (name escapes me) that if you type in what ingredients you have it will give you a receipe for a meal!Panda xx
