If he loves his scooter, have you seen the stunt scooters in Argos?
The are chrome and have bigger wheels than those micro scooters.
My son adored his (bought it when he was 5).
They are not baby-ish looking. (so when the Ben 10 craze has finished - or he's grown out of it, he will still be happy /able to use it)
They last for years also! Very sturdy and hard wearing.

I wanted to add a link from Argos but the site is down at the moment.

My DS got a Ben 10 scooter for Christmas from one of my friends. Only reason it wouldn't have been my choice is that he already has a bike! However, he has been going on about a Nintendo DS for about 2 years and when I saw a bargain on ebay I gave in and bought one.

He will be getting this for his birthday - along with a game from the Cash Converters shop. Then whenever he is good in school for a week (we have some behaviour problems) I will treat him to a game from the same shop. This is something that I know I will be able to afford and it will still seem new to him.

We're doing a large party this year (for both him and his brother) simply because his Dad will be away (forces) so it will be something to focus his mind.
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.
