Possible To Quit Orange Contract After Just Joining?
Options
Hi,
I was with O2 on a simplicity contract but I saw that orange had a better deal so I got a Sim only contract with them a few days ago.
I transferred my O2 number to Orange, but now i've realised that Orange's signal is really bad in my house. I was wondering if I cancel now after just a few days am I entitled to get my money back? I've actually seen that O2 have some deals with are slightly more expensive and at least with them I had signal...
Thanks for any help

you can leave them as soon as your contract is completed, you won't be entitled to a refund though, that is unless you bought by mail order / internet and it was less than 7 days ago.====0

You can leave any time, but if you leave before you minimum term you get a termination fee. Thats usually the no of months left x monthly rental.
As D123 says if you bought via the internet or mail order you have 7 days to cancel under the distance selling rules. If you bought it instore you need to see what the stores rules are, they may have a network coverage guarantee they may not. You dont say what store you used so can't tell, however you need to do it NOW, any network promise will only be a few day and two weeks at the most.
No coverage guarantees aslo means that, NO coverage. Poor coverage is not the same, also if you specifically asked if coverage was good in your area and were told yes you have a better case than if you didn't.

Thanks for the help guys.
I do get signal its just really poor, I used the signal check on their website and according to that my area had an excellent signal. No doubt they can claim that something in my house is causing the bad signal etc.
I ordered it online a few days ago but had to wait a few days before I was able to use it (had a security lock on and then I transferred my O2 number across which took a few days too).

Do you get signal outside of your house?
If the phone was locked etc, they will take that into account, there is no point in them having a customer who is unhappy.0 -
I get signal outside but only about 1 bar, seems really poor just in my area.
It was a SIM only pay monthly contract - my phone was already unlocked, only ordered a SIM from them.
I rang their support and they said as I'm within my 14 days I'm entitled to a refund and gave me another number to ring, when I rang it it went to answerphone as they are only available monday-friday. The answerphone message gave email details though so I've sent across my request, I'm hoping that I wont be out of my 14 day entitlement by the time they've read the e-mail...
Thanks again0 -
You should be fine as long as you sent the e-mail before the 14 days you should be fine
makle sure you save the e-mail in sent items as proof0
