I wish I had known how difficult owning your own business would be..
I wish I had known that certain staff were helping themselves to the till money sooner....

I wish I'd known:
1. that there is no such thing as 'free' money & one day it all has to be paid back!
2. not to listen when told "if the banks will give it to you, take it"
3. that it is not 'normal' to be in debt0 -
That if something costs so much a month for the next few years, it isn't worth it** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **

I do it all because I'm scared.

I wish I'd known that taking out more borrowing on a loan or on a mortgage to pay off existing debts DOES NOT WORK! Unless, of course, you have the sense to destroy your credit cards once they're paid off! Even so, extending loans still involves additional charges left, right and centre, and before you know it you're sitting on top of a debt mountain. One life - your life - live it!0

I wish that when I was 18 and people told me not to get a credit card that I actually listened.
Also, my mum always said never take out a debt to pay off another debt. Sounds too simple but it was really good advice and something I live by now.0 -

I wish I'd known that RBS were up sh*t creek before they shafted me for nearly £40k
I didn't know, they didn't know, the Government didn't know and we all had to bail them out. B*stards still screwed me for a lot of money which will take a long time to pay back.
I wish I knew how to be more bitter!!!0 -
I wish I had known when I was 18 years old and first got into debt that it was a really stupid bloody idea and I would still be paying it back when I was nearly 30!
How has it taken me 12 years to realise that all you have to do is live within your means?
Me 9, or 10, or 11, 12, 13... Thank goodness Martin's meeting with education was so positive today! Hopefully it'll mean future generations are more financially savvy!

I wish I'd known not taken my bank's advice as a given and had had the know-how at the time to find out what was best for me and where that information was!
