Question about second lines

Hi all,
Hopefully someone here will make sense of this and be able to help.
Currently, I have a T-Mobile account under my name, and my husband has one under his name. In the next couple of months, I'm going to be cancelling my account, and my husband getting a second line under his name.
Obviously, we are after the best deals, and I've found sites online that have the HTC Desire/Bravo for pre-order, for £25 p/m for 18 months. Since this is the phone I'd be wanting, I would quite like to get it.
However, because it'll be under my husbands name, is there anyway to order it and get it added onto his current T-Mobile account? Or would we both have to leave, port out our numbers to PAYG, then port them back when we open a new account?
I could very easily do it myself, and get a new account, but I'm an undischarged bankruptee so am unlikely to pass the credit check after I cancel? (even though until last Nov I paid £30 a month with no late payments, and since then have been on 30day plans, no late payments).
Hope that made sense to someone!

Is it possible to have it added onto his current account though?0

yes, I had an account for a phone for my daughter , then wanted a 2nd one later for myself
as long as he passes the credit checks then its no problem
just looked at the T-Mobile site and there is a "manage accounts" (in the plural option) , they also do a family plan option that has mutiple numbers on one accountEx forum ambassador

That's what we're going to try at the end of this month, but he hates touchscreen phones, so we were hoping to upgrade him to the Sony W995 and get the new second line with a decent deal elsewhere - I guess we could always ask for the W995, and the second line with the Desire matching the plan I've seen online... Will take this over to the retentions thread nearer the time I think, see if T-Mobile are being generous0

T-Mobile already know how many contracts he is allowed with them ( I am alloowed 5 for example - though currently only have 2). If he orders another it will therefore be approved without a problem provided he is allowed more than one (except from some dealers such as BuyMobilephones who claim T-moblie has declined an application even though T-Mobile aren't even aware it existed!). Once set up both contracts will appear on a joint bill and there would be nothing stopping him upgrading the existing one when it comes to the end of its term.0
