On the BT website they are only showing the weekend and anytime plans for new customers0 -

As I've indicated in post #10, they don't. But I understand why you came to that conclusion.0 -
If you already have the inclusive E&W plan then you should receive a letter offering to renew it for another 12 months approx one month before your current contract expires.
Correct Luci, i got my renewal through yesterday.
Intererstingly there's a £7.50 pm cancellation charge should you decide to cancel before the end of the contract period. Seeing as i very rarely use the house phone an i'm thinking of getting rid of my landline i called up and explained to the advisor that i didn't want to be tied in for another 12 months and that i was happy to keep the current Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan but pay £2.99 for it on a month by month basis. Desperate to tie me in for a further 12 months the advisor offered to credit my bill with £39 if i renewed, i said i'd have a think about it and get back to her.

You've made me feel really guilty now - because I haven't a clue on this (although I, too, had noticed the E&W plan is no longer shown on their website).
However, I will have to find out first hand in the course of the next few weeks when I attempt to get a phone line set up for an elderly relative (who currently has the E&W plan) moving in nearby.
Evening and weekend plan is not being promoted because of the changes BT are making in april changing evenings to 7 til 7 instead of 6 til 6.
change of terms means a customer can get out of a contract so BT are not going to connect new customers or contract existing customers on old terms then have to release them from the contract when new terms come in to force.
EG
Get BT to connect the line and jump ship to another provider on the grounds that BT have changed the terms
The evening and weekend plan is still available for new and existing BT customers but only over the phone.0 -
Thanks for clarifying that.
I think I'll go via Quidco to get the £25 cashback, opt for the Unlimited Weekend Plan and then program and install one of my spare Orchids for her to use 18185 except at weekends.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

Yes, that correctly sums it up, I'm on the evenings & weekend plan on a 12 month renewable contract.
My contract is due for renewal mid-april and I've just recieved a letter advising me that if I wish to continue on the same deal I need to do absolutely nothing, the price and terms remain the same
