Well done Claire! That'll be me and sister this weekend, I'm determined to get all her crap out of the flat, my new furniture put together and in the right places, and all the clutter tidied away.

DSA people have just gone, he's going to recommend lots of new toys. He kept on at me about voice software and I was 'no, don't want it, don't want to feel stupid talking to myself'. Then he gave me a demo of it, and I totally changed my mind! So he's recommending that and some other fancy software, a new laptop cos this dinosaur wont run them, a laptop tray, some ergonomic bits and bobs, and that I get an allowance to have the books comb bound. He's also recommending a PDA but says they don't like to approve those.

    So I'm a happy Ames!

And thanks to this thread I've just remembered about Sunday so I'm going to nip over the road to the post box in a min.

Pooky - I am the Adaptations Coordinator for our local council and one of our tenants has just purchased a Jazzy Select mobility scooter.

It is narrower than a normal one and means that none of his internal doors need widening (It is an outside chair too). He is a big man, but he sits in it quite comfortably. You can also get one that rises up and down meaning that kitchen worktops etc are accessible for the person sitting in it.

Didn't know if it might be something your hubby could look at.
