I agree that a negative is very harsh in these circumstances - you are a tough cookie!
I have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes ;)

I wont rush into it - it was slightly larger than A4 paperback book and it was the post office that said the packaging was inadequate. No support or warnings. I shall if possible leave positive feedback - as I believe that what goes around comes around .

So can you wait indefinately before leaving feedback - or does time run out?

i think u have somthing like 90 days to leave feedback, but if u leave a neg on day 89 the other person has something like 10 days to respond to it

I think a neg would be harsh if the seller is going to the trouble of pursuing a RM claim.

Ok, it may have been inadequately packed... but that's an honest mistake. If they're attempting to rectify the situation they should get credit for that.

Ask them nicely if they could please refund you sooner rather than later, as they will get the money back from RM in time. You shouldn't have to wait for the claim to go through. If they disagree, file a claim with paypal. That should spur them into action.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

Also be aware that if you leave a neg the seller can leave one in return. Whilst I do not condone retaliatory neg feedback a seller who uses adequate packaging, ie a jiffy bag, like 99% of the book sellers may well be justified in leaving one.

Thats the post office not wanting to take responsibility for royal mail stuffing up.

Actually having a rethink did you pay by paypal? If so put in a claim for damaged item as that should get the sellers attention.

However, I still would not be considering a neg until all options have been exhausted.
