A small flat piece has fallen off the back of my Samsung G600. I don't know if it has any purpose - the phone certainly works. It is under 2 year warranty but Samsung advise (surprise surprise) that the case is "not normally covered by the warranty" and I should arrange a chargeable repair. The phone is just over a year old - cost just under £100 and I am with Tesco Mobile Pay As You Go. Whatever - I don't think I am going to be prepared very much to repair it with the deals going round now. If anyone has experience of this problem with a G600 I would appreciate your input (or any other input on this issue).
Thanks

Read the T&C of your insurance, for anything that refers to non-coverage of case damage.
I'd imagine they'd have to explicitly state this, as obviously the coverage is there so you can keep the phone in the condition it was bought in.
Sounds like they are BS'in you.
If you drop the phone and the case cracks, but the mic also fails, the phone doesn't just come back with a new mic, but also a repaired case....
solution, cut the mic out :P0 -
I know the small flat piece you mean, exactly the same thing happened to my G600 Pink and it still works perfectly fine, it makes no difference whatsoever to the workings of the phone...! Hope that helps.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

Thanks - yes it works fine. One of my questions (to Samsung) is - will it invalidate the warranty if the flat piece is not re-attached?0
