nokia 3330

I have recently been doing an overhaul on my finances! much to my embarresment i have been payiny 4.49 every month to Allianz Insurance after a few calls it turns out this was phone insurance for a nokia 3330 it started in Aug 2001 !! so that means i have been paying it for 9 years ! I asked how do i reclaim this insurance they said i needed proof of termination of contract .I was told it was from Dialaphone who had some details/sim number,they told me it was a Vodafone network and i need to contact them,they had no details of my account.
Im not sure if this was a contract phone or pay as you go ?
I am at a loss what to do next ?? Any ideas ?:(

Ask your bank for statements fating back to the contract, this would prove whether it was contract or PAYG....
