Hi Kadeeae and thanks for starting us off :)

My Mum always maintains that suet pastry is the easiest thing in the world so you should be ok.

    We're having:

    Monday - Chilli & Rice

    Tuesday - Cheese Beano's

Wednesday - Tomato & Bacon Pasta Bake & Salad

Thursday - Quiche, New Potatoes and Salad

    Friday - Meatballs & Spaghetti

Saturday - Celery & Potato Soup and Soda Bread followed by Fruit Salad

Sunday Lunch: Beef in Ale Casserole, Mashed Potatoes, Yorkshire Puddings, Carrots, Spring Cabbage and Peas

Sunday Tea: Toasted Cheese Ciabatta followed by Fruit Salad

I'll try to have a baking session too to fill the tins up. DS3 has requested the Milk Chocolate Cake from Be-Ro it's very good :D and amazingly easy to make. We usually ice the top with plain white glace icing and feather lines of chocolate glace icing across the top - very retro it is :rotfl:

Thanks for starting us off, Kadeeae. See if you can spot the thread that we've both been reading this week...

    Fri - gardener's pie
Sat - roast ham hock with lentil and veg stew
Sun - ham, leek and stilton pizza
Mon - savoury ham (bacon) roll with celeriac and mustard mash
Tues - corned beef and potato pie (if the corned beef has survived its incarceration in the freezer - if it hasn't it will be cheese and potato pie ;)), with grilled tomatoes
Wed - beany bake with garlic bread topping
Thurs - prawn and veg chow mein
Back after a very long break!

    No problem at all. :)

It's this recipe, but CCP'd - I will be leaving out the aubergine (as I haven't got any), using all tinned tomatoes with no fresh cherry ones, and replacing the chickpeas with white beans (I think the ones in the cupboard are canelinni (sp?), so that's what I'll be having).

Apart from that, it's exactly the same recipe! ;)

Edit to add - Oh, I've just remembered - I also add a little freshly chopped garlic to the topping for the bread. That really is all, though!

Back after a very long break!

here's our plan - haven't sorted out the veggies/salad yet, but main courses will be:

mon - spiced plum chicken with couscous
tues - mushroom, chestnut and red pepper terrine
wed & thur - in Brussels for work
