no the wired mouse has a fixed green piece on the end it only fits into one place at the back of the computer
i remember now i posted about my monitor clock losing time the othr day which it still is could it be conneted to that issue
this computer is older than wht i said before its about 4 years old i only use it for surfing it said under my computer 89% free space not sure if that helps0 -
If you plugged the wired mouse in while the computer was powered up, you could have damaged it, as it sounds as though it's a PS/2 mouse.0

Is the connector similar to this? If so reboot the PC and see if the wired mouse starts to work.FirstTimer4Me wrote: »no the wired mouse has a fixed green piece on the end it only fits into one place at the back of the computer
I doubt it. That sounds like a new CMOS battery is needed.FirstTimer4Me wrote: »i remember now i posted about my monitor clock losing time the othr day which it still is could it be conneted to that issue
That's not related but it's always nice to have some free space on the diskFirstTimer4Me wrote: »it said under my computer 89% free space not sure if that helps

You can get PS2 (which is the connector on your wired mouse) to USB adapters, one may have been supplied with the mouse.
Suggest you beg/borrow a USB mouse to check you don't have a problem with your USB ports. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Buy a new mouse, 3 yrs is a decent return anyway. Even wireless optical Mices are cheap as chip nowadays, less than £10.0
