Problem With Blackberry Mobile Phone
Options
HI, I wonder if you can help me / offer some advice? I bought a Blackberry Curve Mobile Phone from Vodaphone over the phone on the 25th of February and it arrived the following day.
Unfortunately, the phone broke on the 7th of March. I rang Vodaphone about it on the 10th March to get it fixed (I was workign away on the dates inbetween) and they said it will cost £100 to get fixed and I don’t have insurance although, they did say I had 15 days to cancel my insurance when I organised it in the beginning!
I am largely very confused about this and don't know what to do - I am disapointed in Vodaphone for how they have handled this situation as I believe I have insurance however, I don't have any proof as this was a 15 day FOC insurance which I had to cancel before the 15 days was up if I didn't wish to continue with it.
Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks again

If it's only a few days old, then surely it is a warranty repair? Or did it break via accidental damage?0

Are we talking water damage ? That's about the only thing not covered by the warranty.0

Exactly, ifit's not water or accidental damage, you can take it in to CPW or whoever else and they can send it off to get fixed...
only catch is you need a phone when itsa off getting fixed, just buy a cheapo.0 -
Hi L123,
I imagine that you are quite frustrated by this and I would love the opportunity to help you.
However, I will need to look into your account and speak to you at greater length to figure out how we are going to go about making sure you have a fully working handset again. If you could contact me via this link –
Web Relations Team – Vodafone UK
(When contacting, please quote the code WRT135 in the subject line. In the main message body, please include a link to this thread and your user name.)
If you could also include details of what has happened to the handset in your email this will help us to deal with this matter as quickly as possible.
I am sure that we will be able to help you out with this and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks,
Espi
