Help an iphone Virgin...
Options
Hey,
Just bought an iphone(first model) off a work mate recently. Locked to o2 and sort of over whelmed with it already -seemsvery complex compared to what i have been used to.
I am currently on Tesco payg and would like to change my o over to o2 on this iphone. I read Martine email and he says you can get o2 simplicity sims for iphones and you can keep your old number. Is it a simple process, do i just buy a simplicity sim and pop it in? How does it work with getting the internet for it and registering it to your itunes account. It seems so daunting. Any help or reassurance would be great.
Thanks

Have you checked that the Tesco sim doesn't work in it, O2 is the network Tesco piggy backs onto. I know it works the other way round.
If not, get a PAC code from Tesco, give it to O2, and a couple of days later the number will change over. You need to check with O2 that you have inclusive data allowance on the Simplicity tariff you choose, then set the iPhone up as shown here: http://shop.o2.co.uk/update/settings.html0 -

No i have not checked if the tesco sim works on the iphne... i thought i phones would certainky be strictly locked? Even if it does work i assume i could not get all the features etc without an o2 sim?
So i need an o2 simplicity sim, and then i set it up as advised per the link & voila...
Seems easyish.
