Cancelling t-mobile contract
Options
Hi,
I bought a T-Mobile 30 day fixed sim only contract for my iPhone on monday in their Stockport store, but have just read the page on MSE about O2's new simplicity contracts which offer a much better deal than I currently get for the same price, and am now kind of regretting it. I'm just wondering if there is any cooling off period available for me to cancel this contract and move to the O2 one now, or will I have to give a month's notice as is the norm with rolling deals? If it is the latter, and since I've only just started with T-Mobile, do I ring them now and give the notice, or do I call when my bill's due?

There's no cooling off period for anything bought in store (distance selling regs only apply on sales over the phone or net).0

Okay, thanks. Now that's established, shall I give them the 30 days notice now or when the bill is due (or does it make any difference?)0

If its 30 day contract, I would give notice for 30 days, rather than adding more days on to be paid for. Cant get out of it now.
But if its one of the 12 month sim only deals, you are stuck in it for 12 months minimum but does not sound like that is the case.0 -
Yeah, it's the 30 day contract, and I'm glad it is now. Thanks for your help, I'll ring them now.
Actually, retentions just gave me a blinding deal. Accepted that instead0
