Hi, a little while ago i bought this laptop.
Although i love it, im struggling with the screen, its like a mirror. As the weather is so nice atm I'm wanting to use it outside but I can't realy as all I can see in the screen (especially trying to watch dvds) is my not-so beautiful body :-(
Anybody got any tips so i can use it?
I already have the sun behind the screen and have the laptop in the shade from a tree but its reflecting me!!
Thanks loads
laurie

Sit under a big blanket?
You could also try puutting the screen into a box which will help.
There's little else you can do i'm afraid. Maybe time to read that book!Fortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere......0 -

Unfortunately laptops aren't made to be used in the bright sun I dont think!!! If your already in the shade, apart from covreing yourself with a blanket as said there isnt much you can do really!
I'm more concerned about your opinion on your own body! Hopefully it was just a random comment rather than something further
Be happy with your bodyThink about the amount of Sperm that never got a chance to have one!!! BILLIONS! Statistically its near impossible that you'd exist, so be grateful that your lucky to have a body
(And im sure its not bad... lets be honest now.., many beautiful people hate their bodies).
Anyway good luck with the laptop[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

I've tried all sorts of tings to try and make it viable, the best i can do is increase the contrast and brightness and fold the screen down a little so its tilted towards the keyboard more.
It works a little better.
The body thing was a random comment reallyI used to go to the gym and was happy with it, now ive lost the muscle so i need to get back down there!! Thanks for the vote of confidence though :-)

Not much you can do about the screen it sounds like you have one of the Xblack type screens where they are very shiny I like them alot stunning picture maybe no good in the sun.
Now the other part of your post mentions a "not-so beautiful body" I think a picture is required for use to see if your right or wrong0 -
I used a box from a TFT for my Dell laptop, cut a couple of panels from it and placed it over the screen (sat on a garden table)
Works fine, far better than without it0 -

Can't you just use a visor ? some pc's have visors on if it's too bright and the contrast can't be turned down, it's like a black mesh cover that goes on, it might help.
Failing that theese look funny lol http://www.ergomart.com/monitor_hood_visor/monitor_hood.htm:wave: Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -
You might find a polarising antiglare filter useful. They're really meant to be used indoors but it might still help outside.
Here's the first site I found doing them.
Just noticed the prices on that site - I'm sure you could get them cheaper than that!0
