Dealer Stickers

When I bought a new can, the muppets put the sticker in the line of sight for the rear view mirror. I was concerned that if I tried to remove it, I might damage the rear screen heater. I took it back and asked them to remove the sticker."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

The heated rear screen is always my worry, will it hold moisture and rot the element so I always take 'em off. And !!!!!!! Renault are the worst who wants ELF pastered accross the rear window :eek:I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

One time I bought a car for my sister and the local Ford dealer insisted on putting a plastic/chrome "Haynes" badge on the rear of every car they supplied. The badge was the nastiest, tackiest piece of crud you could imagine. You could spot it on the car a mile away because it was invariably applied wonky and screamed cheap Chinese plastic.
Snap:D. I once purchased a Ford with the same Badge, it was nasty. Right next to the Cars Badging.
I did manage to remove it with a lot of patience and Hot water without damaging the paintwork.
In general I don't like dealer badges, though some original ones add to the car IMO, e.g original BMW tags.0 -
Straight off with the dealer sticker for me.
The taxholder can stay or if my insurance or breakdown company send me one that looks nicer I will swap.I beep for Robins - Beep Beep

I am totally dissapointed with your response Inactive, it was a baited trap, but I expected better,:rotfl:

I bought a new car last year and the dealer's window sticker was removed with a hairdryer the same day. I still haven't worked out the dental floss, though!
Many years ago I bought a new VW. When it went in for its first service at the supplying dealer I asked them to remove their sticker from the rear window. When I went to collect the car I looked at the invoice and the cheeky sods had actually charged labour for removing it! I told them that not only was I not paying, but they would never get my car in for service again. And they didn't!0 -

I bought my current used car last December and I have left the dealer window sticker and tax disc holder in up to now.
i make it clear before i pay i want NO stickers etc of any kind on it, they can mark the number plate but thats is0 -
i've left mine in, it's a long blue and yellow battenburg sticker, and because i drive a white ford focus, it's excellent to see the amount of people that start driving more carefully/slowly past me.0
