As the supplier Scottish power is responsible for updating xoserve not for the customer to chase around callind NG or IGT. Even if it means their customer leaves its good customer service to get it all sorted for them.0

We switched from British Gas to EDF last November (2010) and we are still struggling with the issues of apparently incorrect meter numbers.
We have been told that the meter reference is not the one displayed for our property on the National Database. The meter is definately for our property as it is within the house.
We have provided photographic evidence of the meter as requested by EDF on several occassions and they have apparently forwarded this to British Gas. As it stands at the moment we are still waiting from some response as EDF say they cannot change it it is down to British Gas who forwarded the original meter information. British Gas seem either unable or unwilling to do anything about it according to EDF and we have been told that we cannot contact the National Database ourselves to correct the information.
So far EDF Customer Service has been excellent.
Any further advice would be useful - will try the numbers mentioned on here but we are coming to the end of the tie in period and frankly I would like it all sorted so we can move again!
Thanks
If a meter has been exchanged while under a previous suppliers appointment it is for them to back date the exchange. usually this will be with whomever the mop is, issue is most mops are a pain to actually bother process these back dated exchanges.
An exchange under BG supplier appointment pre-june 2011 would have been done by Onstream, Siemens, or Unitied Utilities ( now under enterprise plc ) Mop license. If it was done by onstream, good luck.... :rotfl:
EDF should be able to back-date the exchange, however as annoying as it is the people you speak to probably don't have the power to do it, as most call centre metering systems are so restricted...Working within the gas and electric industry since 2008'0
