Ok, fair point. But I've seen shower head/hose units or riser rail/shower head kits in Argos for under a tenner (the mixer type that connect to a tap). I see them from time to time in pound shops but think these ones might be better for hair rather than body washing as I think the hose is fairly short.

Typical, the OP wants to replace shower, people reply that he doesn't need one. rolleyes.gif

I think the OP knows what he prefers !

    Everyone, back to school.

We all know what we prefer. If we can afford it we get it, if not we don't.

Those sorts of sniping little comments that litter benefits threads don't help when there may be help or suggestions on what to do.

If councils/government schemes can help they'll do the checking on whether someone is entitled to it.

Your prerogative but my advice was not directed at you: the OP would rather the taxpayer paid than go without and save up.
I appreciate that fact but just stating my view.
  • some background, if it helps- i took over flat from parents, after they died- we were one of first families to move in (i were a wee lad, then!) , when they were built- approx 30 years ago.

the shower has been there as long as i can remember.. a new shower was brought along by contractors, though that had not been ok'd by the council.

methinks the constractors were trying to pimp up the work needed (circuitry etc), as old one had no probs, safett wise, when it WAS working!

I will ask CAB when i visit trhem 2moro, on another matter..
