How do I stop my phone using network internet accidently?
Options
I have a Sony Ericsson W705 and only want to access the internet via WiFi, although I want to keep the operator setting 'just in case'. Is it possible to make my default internet WiFi, and so prevent it using the operator internet if not in a hotspot?

Simple option would be to fudge the name of the access point ever so slightly.
Like just sticking a 1 on the end of it or something.0 -
That's a nice phone, my son has one. I'm not exactly sure what he did on his phone, but mine's a Sony Ericsson too so I'll tell you what I did. If you go into settings, then connectivity, then internet. You should have a couple of options, at the bottom there is a blank option. Pick that one and give it a name. It obviously won't connect so set that as default. If you then want to connect, just go back in and choose your provider (mine is orange wap).
There should be an option in settings for wifi (as I remember) so you can just switch that on to surf for free.
It's only a game
