Doing this (all sub £1K as well) got my online access suspended for around 36 hours last week.

This was happening to me on a regular basis - i closed the Reward accounts and went to RBS... As with Santander / A&L you get what you pay for.
Whilst a tad annoying at the time, I still got my transfers made by telephone banking (at their cost as I used their callback service) - albeit they had to go by BACS instead of FP.

On balance, I think I'll keep my Reward accounts and the £240 per year they generate. :)

I have not been able to do > £1K as a single transaction on-line. So when shuffling my 1K through, have always had to transfer out the fivers in a separate transaction. However, LTSB have recently raised their on-line transaction limit to £2.5K so maybe they have now been brought into line.

As Baldur infers ..... the limit is currently £2500 for 'immediate' FP transactions. Did one earlier today for just under that value from Halifax to Lloyds (and they remain separate identities, currently, for this type of transaction. It's not an internal transfer - yet)

............. yet, tried to transfer just £25 to my Sister last night ..... and it was going via BACS on the 15th! So I cancelled it and it went via FP quite happily this morning.

Nothing if not consistent in their inconsistency?

    Cheers all.

Made the transfer today. Went very smoothly - all in one transaction which took about 4 seconds to arrive at First Direct.

Also saved me the hassle of needing to fund my reward account this month - a free fiver just for moving my money via a current account instead of directly :D
