Vista Upgrade?

I've just seen a laptop at a good price however it has Windows Vista Home Premium Installed.

Are Microsoft still doing the free upgrades to Windows 7?

I've used Vista and do not like it.

Upgrades are usually available for qualifying products through the manufacturer, rather than MS, e.g. http://www.acer.com/windows7upgrade/
but the offers appear to be ending VERY soon.

Vista and Win7 are very similar. There isn't the difference you would have noticed between XP and Vista.

You would have had to have purchased a qualifying Windows Vista-based PC between June 26, 2009 and January 31, 2010 by the look of this - http://www.packardbell.com/windows7upgrade/
