Orange false advertising on web site
Options
Orange declare on their website that;
"At Orange, we want our existing customers to enjoy the same benefits as our new customers. That's why when you upgrade your mobile phone, you can get the same deal as a new customer if you're in the last three months of your current contract and re-sign on an 18 month contract. And if you choose a £30+ plan, you could take advantage of our Free Broadband offer".
In the "web exclusive offers" section I found a tariff that gave me 300 minutes and 100 texts. This tariff came with an extra 200 minutes and 1000 texts plus an extra benefit for life (choice of 4 ). £30 per month plus a SE K800i.
I have been with Orange for 6 years and am now out of contract. Would they give me this deal? No, they would rather give me my pak number or whatever it is. That is after queuing for 30 minutes to speak to their impotent sales team.
Can I mention this to OFTEL or would it be trading standards or would it be the advertising watchdog? Or does somebody know of an email address or phone number for somebody that can do something about this.
Thanks
