Worcester do not state that the system has to be power flushed. They say that a chemical clean with fernox or with sentinal is ok, I cleared that up on there training course.
If a 37 kw worcester was fitted then the chances are you gas pipe to the boiler is going to need running in 28mm copper which will put the cost up.
The size of your combi depends on your hot water needs, if you have showers mainly then no problems, The engineer should of checked the pressure of the incoming mains water. If its not good then you can fit any brand of combi and be dissapointed as the flow will not be good.
Also get a magna clean or spirovent fitted as this is the best way of protecting your new boiler and worth the investment0
