Had enough...

My life has flipped upside down and I have had enough!
So I'm selling all my possessions to deal with my debt, can't find a better way to deal with it.
So far listed close to 300 items on ebay and sold over 100 - I've got to get £3,900 asap!
I'm 26 and living with my parents. Plan to clear the debt, move out, get a new job and aim to do it all in a month!
Any ideas welcomed??

If you are serious about clearing all your debt in a month, then maybe you should think about taking a second job, rather than just changing your main job. You are likely to need more than a month to find a new role - the employment market is better, but still not great - and having a second job would also get you out of the house which might allow other tensions to settle a bit. (It seems that something big has happened - give yourself time to calm down).
Bar work, pizza delivery, catalogue delivery, etc - look in your local paper for situations. You can keep ebaying at the same time!
If I may make a suggestion, it might still be worth posting your statement of affairs, because people may have advice on how you can save money elsewhere, and if you are moving out, you will need to learn how to budget very quickly!
Good luck xSome days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

All my plans for the future are up the air, my girlfriend of 3+ years has split with me, we have agreed to now go on a break for a month but whos to say it will be any different then - unless I make some big changes.
Hence the need to change my life so dramatically!
I work in a print room and it is very dull but yes it means i get paid at the end of the month.
I also have a social phobia (part of the reason for the split/break) and go to group therapy weekly.
I want a new job to escape the boredom and improve my social skills. I'm not stupid, just always restricted myself.
Does anyone else have this issue? How did you get past it?
Any one want to help?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks to all who post comps!

Hi Joegw,
Sorry to hear you are having a bit of a rough time just now. It sounds like it is a bit dramatic and a bit 'all or nothing'. Perhaps you should think more along the lines of at least a three month time frame. Clear your debts with your ebay sales. Is it really necessary to sell everything?
Then try and save whilst you are still at home with parents. You will need a deposit and a month's rent etc so I would take advantage of cheap living at home until you are in a stronger position to move. By then as well you will know what is happening with your girlfriend.
Good luck with the ebay!0 -

I do have some experience of living with a mental health issue - two of my very good friends have conditions that restrict/alter/affect their behaviour.
All or nothing is a strong statement, and based far too deeply in emotion. The world will not end if you wait a month or two, but your credit could be screwed for years and the effects on you could last longer than that.
If you want to expand your horizons, why not talk to your therapist about other activities - Sane and Mind (charities) might need help at one of their shops (volunteer or paid, don't know) get a hobby that enables you to go out in a controlled way, but nothing that will throw you over the top.
You might be hurting now, but please, tread carefully or you may find yourself making it worse in the long run..... don't let being hurt now screw you over for years to come.
Good luck xSome days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
