There's surely an error in this week's email. It says ...
This example isn't a valid one, as the AA account is run by Birmingham Midshires.
So if someone did as suggested above, they'd only have £150k protected.
Yet, if you've £200,000, simply spread it over four accounts, and it's all protected, eg, AA is 3%, West Brom BS is 2.92% and B'Ham Mids & Tesco are 2.75% (full pros & cons of these & more in Top Savings).
