    Excuse me????.
Me inheriting my grandparents home IS the only chance i have of owning a home.My father died and i inherited £52,000(although i don't see what this has to do with what i am asking now) i cannot own a home with that,i also cannot get a mortgage.I have now been considering maybe using this money IF my grandparents savings run out-so i get to keep my grandparents house.
I have'nt pulled the wool over anyone's eyes and i really don't like what you have said about me.

If your savings had come from your grandparents it could be considered what it known as "notional capital" and a local authority may argue these savings were still your grandparents assets regarding payment towards any future care costs should they arise. G-M has referred to excellent links at Age Concern, and their factsheet probably cover this quite well. Hence, these savings had a lot to do with what you want to do now. However, given these savings were inherited from your late father, and not your grandparents, this is no longer an issue.

If the person who PM'd you to help is suitably qualified, great. Alternatively Notisis has given a good suggestion on how to proceed.

Thank you-i had a look at the link late last night-have not read all of it yet,but it is very helpful.
I understand what you mean about the inheritance from my father, but regarding fire fox's response i should not have been judged/assumptions made about me.I came on here for help, not to be accused of something.
