It's around £15 cheaper than most sites, but think they'll price it to get rid of them!Treat others as you would like to be treated :A0

OMG
My bank account is hurting enough without this..

Wait out till august for the 64 bit core 2 duo... will be much more vista compatible and will be worth the wait. Benchmark scores have it beating AMD's dual core 64 bit processor by a mile! I know I'm waiting till August for the laptop version to come out, desktop version of the cpu is due out any day now!0

with respect I never understood the loogic of paying through the nose to ne an early cpu adopter.
The cpu above will pack alot of wallop for a low priceNo links in signatures please.0 -
I've got one, it was 80 quid a couple months ago from ebuyer. Yes you need a suitable socket 775 motherboard but they come in about 40 quid. So for just over the ton you got a dual 3.0 at very least after overclocking. Seems weird to bring up task-manager and see two graphs instead of usual one.
If you spend a bit more on the motherboard you can almost certainly get it up nearer to a dual 4.0GHz. It's practically free really in computer terms!
Other posters are probably right though holding off now will probably get you something even more amazing in a few months. Decent enough to satisfy me as is however.I ♥ MSE0 -

These Intel chips are 64bit and should be easily capable of running Vista. Of course, you can wait and get something faster, but at this price if you can find a cheap motherboard and ram, it might be a cost effective upgrade.
