Moving home quandry

I am hoping to relocate in the near future and will only be coming back home every alternate weekend. My current internet access is with BT and my contract has come to an end. They have offered me a 12 month reduced rate contract but as not going to be here all the time, I don't really want to be tied into a 12 month contract. With the line rental, they have offered me broadband at £18.03 per month for 12 months. Any better deals out there or should I just cancel the broadband?

If you are on a 'competitive' exchange you can get Plusnet Value for £6/month (or less if you use one of the cashback sites.)
If you are going to be away from home a lot keeping broadband for a web-based CCTV security camera might be worth considering.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Do you live in a town or in the sticks? If you live in a town you'll probably have fairly good mobile broadband reception - so that might be an option on pay as you go to get you online those alternate weekends?0

I live in a town. Do you mean pay as you go mobile phone? Never thought about that option. Might be a chance of getting a lodger in which goes in favour of keeping the broadband.0
