same PAC 2 numbers?

So am leaving orange. My arrangements have been I have one account with 2 phones on it. 2 letters arrived today one showing the PAC for our 2 numbers to be the same and another showing a different code for my wife's number.
Just called to clarify and have been told the PAC is in fact the same for both mobile numbers.
I though the number was unique to your mobile number, no reason to disbelieve Orange but don't want hassle when we move. Can anyone confirm if it's OK to have the same PAC for 2 numbers?
