We used to buy £25kg for £7.50 every 3 months but split it between 3 families - I live close to my family and there were always too many for just us.

So it worked out at £10 for a years worth of potatoes (84p a month!) I make a lot of meals from scratch and bulk freeze so rarely had any left over. There was also an odd one that was bad but providing you take it out of the sack they can last a good few months.

If you have family or maybe other residents in your street - see if they will split with you and save some pennies
Cabot (0%) left to pay £2455 let the overpayments commence! :D

    Hi sb44,

I remember my Dad stringing onions up in the garage when I was a child and they kept for ages. I've added your post to our main thread on storing onions as it will be easier for others to find.
