Because these are our children, who we care for regardless. We should not expect any other extra to care for them even if they are disabled because thats what a parents job is!! To take on looking after a child no matter what.

I can not work due to my childs needs, would you rather they did not have access to more facilities/education and did not reach their full potential and that I as a carer got not respite and ended up a total wreck?

I'd rather cut every limb off my body with my own hands, than have my child NEED extra cash due to his issues

In fact, do not bother answering, you obviously have no comprehension nor soul

    My child costs more because:
    1. Every trip must be by taxi as vibrations on a bus scare them, cause disruption to the driver/passengers and in a car my child needs full adult supervision as a driver could not concentrate on them and the road. A car seat is not restraint enough for a child that will harm themselves.

I have a friend who wears a harness (similar to what babies and young childrens' car seats have) - would this at all?

Bless you-you read that rant? lol

They have a seat and an extra harness, but as they have sensory issues they do not like being pinned down as such. Luckily taxi's do allow travel without a seat, but not the taxi with escort to special placement.

Hopefully it is one of the things that will improve drastically when their communication does :)

I'd be interested in that for the future though, so will have a google :) Thanks :)
