    Bezzza, How do I now get the prepaid mastercard? Thanks x

    I personally chose a Bread card

    https://www.breadcard.com/index

    Cost me £7.50 to buy it and you can top up at post offices so no extra charges - just the £10 initially to "buy" it - had no problems using it to buy flights

    Hope it helps - apparently there are lots of other cards but since I would only be putting on £50 over the year just for flights this was by far the cheapest

    I got mine via Quidco (£7.50 cashback) - FairFX card and got the one you load in GBP. It doesn't cost to load the card but does charge 1.5% when you use for things like RyanAir bookings. Apparently you can withdraw from any UK cashpoint free of charge.

    On the from page it states to have to put £500 on initially to get it free. Otherwise it's £9.95....but once you click through to Apply Now you can choose UK Sterling and it says the card is free whatever amount you load on it. It seems like a no lose card to me. If you load and don't use it then just withdraw at a cashpoint.... and you've got £7.50 Quidco for free. Mine paid up okay.

    On £1 (2p) and £5 (10p) flights it's still far cheaper than any of the charges that Ryanair would like to add to the booking.

    Searcher2 - Nice to see that Fairfx now let you load any amount and not the £500 they wanted me to load initially in December 2009 hence reason for going with Bread (never mind eh? I'm still happy - cheap flights will always be cheap flights)

    Teehee, the cheapest way to do a round trip from Liverpool to Luton is by plane, via another country 0_o

    Car

    180mi each way.
    Even at an optimistic 10mi/£1 that's still...
    £36 total

    Plane

    Liverpool --(£5)--> Dublin --(£5)--> Luton
    Luton --(£5)--> Dublin --(£5)--> Liverpool

    £20 total

    Train

    Much more, even with advance tickets.
    well you forgot megabus and megatrain ;)

    Far from !!!!ed off lol !!! :rotfl:

    Would take a lot more than a £5 flight for that. Was only making a comment and wouldn't be surprised if there are not 1 million flights at £5....nothing is underhand for Ryanair.

    Freedom of speech ??? is it not allowed on here ?? I did correct myself and state i had now found flights at different dates.

    Jeez a lot of fellow MSE'rs should really lighten up. :D
