dblue - so because the cheap flights on the dates you wanted weren't available, you're p****d off - a bit of patience and perseverance usually pays off. I have flown with Ryanair loads over the last 12 months usually going for the £1 flights - I have had to be very flexible on dates and take hand luggage only - it really is luck if you are quick enough to get the few "cheap" seats on these flights but hey it's still far cheaper than using other airlines (even after having to get a prepaid mastercard to bypass all charges).

Thank you OP for reminding me that I need 2 start thinking about getting away at least 5 or 6 times this year using Ryanair (unlike the once that I could afford going with other airlines)

I've stopped flying with Ryanair since they switched the fee-free payment method from Visa Electron to pre-paid Mastercard.

Why? Are flights for £5 beneath you?

No, it's because, as I said, they switched the fee-free payment method from Visa Electron to pre-paid Mastercard.

Just add a fiver on each way, so the flights for you in this deal are from £10.

I found it was well worth paying the £10 for the prepaid mastercard especially if I get £1 flights and only take hand luggage - if I go away 5 times this year and get £1 flights, they work out at £2 - which other airline can you fly to Majorca and Ibiza for that price? It's the same with these £5 flights, they will work out only slightly more expensive after having to pay for prepaid card

Thanks, but I only used to fly Ryanair when I could get the 1c flights anyway, and O'Leary's said that they'll be none this year.
