The issue we have with the bolero is matching the fabric to the gown and it being such an unusual colour, only a silk taffeta is anything close. Ivory simply will not go. It will look to much of an afterthought and my opinion would be to not distract away from the simply gorgeous work of art the wedding gown is.

But that's me, miss want everything to be totally right for Becks!:D

hi becks sorry it hear it was bad news. Hopefully she will respond well. If there is anything else you need to look up let me know. I wanted a bolero i got a white one but its not the same white as the dress in photos although looks ok on together through eyesight! I was thinking what about a feather wrap/type thingy? Would that work with your dress at all? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Jasper-Conran-ivory-white-feather-bolero-/290540380905?pt=UK_Wedding_Clothing&hash=item43a58e62e9 but maybe go for an accent colour? eeeek need to get to school within 2 minutes!

I bought a dark cream coloured fur shrug in the debenhams sale (a very MSE £8) which looked really good with my vintage style dress. have now gone for an ivory feather tippet though, which although not the same colour as the dress, also works really well. I think the difference in textures helps if that makes any sense? if I had bought an ivory satin shrug it would not have looked half as nice.

Although personally I am hoping for a heatwave in April!

Woo hoo! So we've decided to have 5 nights in Florence and 4 in Rome for our honeymoon and have finally booked a hotel! We're in http://www.nh-hotels.com/nh/en/hotels/italy/florence/nh-porta-rossa.html?action=search&type=photos in Florence and then either http://www.daphne-rome.com/ or http://www.wrh-trastevere.com/hotel/photogallery.php in Rome.

I'm beyond excited!!!! Just think of all the pizzas and ice creams I'm going to eat!!

Our date is 11th March but I think we have only 6 outstanding now. If it was 35 I'd be going off my rocker lol

Really sorry to hear about your MIL Becks. Hopefully the wedding will give her something to focus on and not dwell as much on being ill IYKWIM

Becks - lots of love to you all. Postitive thoughts coming your familys' way xx

I am 100% back in wedding mode now - yay! Had my dress fitting yesterday, got my flowers sorted, and the cake too! I am starting to get excited now, and a bit scared! Have applied for my passport in my new name too - it was the first time I had to do my new signature for 'real' (I have blatently been practising it for about 4 years!:rotfl:).

We have had all the rsvps for the daytime, and only 2 couples not coming - they live in NZ, so I fully understand!

Still some outstanding for the evening do, but they have another week yet. A good few have given verbal rsvps but are following up with a card, which is lovely as I have a wee box for them all.

Can you all believe our days are nearly here? Its mad! :T:j:beer:

:T:TThanks guys, well good news is that she can come home tonight for the weekend as they have no tests planned :T:T

She will however have to go back Monday morning but baby steps forward....

Wedding wise I do feel like I am getting somewhere. We have figured out the table centres and gift/card holder, spoken to one of my BM's mum about the cake, figured out the table decs and this weekend I hope to have nailed down the BM's dresses and accessories.

Have with thanks to AarchUK and her links spoken to someone about a wedding ring and although it doesn't make me go 'wow' I am going to bite the bullet and get it ordered

Re shawl/stoley thing I have got one of freecycle that was worn for a wedding and am picking it up tonight. Am only wanting it in case I get cold and not for photos or stuff so should be fine

Re shoes I am watching some on ebay that I am falling in love with.

    ebay011.jpg

They need to be flat as I will go A over T down the aisle!!! don't do heels lol although might get some kitten ones for the dance :)

Speaking of which have booked for a teacher of Dance to come and see us Sunday to go through the song and options

    Have still to

    Get my glasses (optical) sorted
    Get flowers sorted
get Groom and groomsmens suits colours sorted (down to groom but control freak steps in....)
    Get MOB's sorted
Get last few paper proper invites to elderly family members (due next week)
Sort out Napkin and chair cover hire
Source Organza for runners and ribbon for favours
    Buy Favour contents (retro sweets)
Buy boxes for kids activity boxes - Ebay
    Buy favour boxes - Ebay

Sure there is loads more but it does feel that it is coming together now - at last!!

I also do think that at some point after we have all become mrs's that we all meet up somewhere to put faces to names and hugs where appropriate :rotfl::beer::beer:
Married the love of my life on 28th April 2011 :T
Re- Renovating our 1893 build 1970's renovated property oh the joys..

I bought a roll of this a few weeks back http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/25m-Organza-Roll-Wedding-Chair-Sach-Table-Runners-/220680296767?pt=UK_Home_Garden_Celebrations_Occasions_ET&var=&hash=item791393d0b0 you just cut it to size. It seemed to be cheapest at the time if that is any help. Its a 25 meter roll. You just cut it into the size you want and it does not fray. I bought the pink one which turned out to be hot pink! but its so thin and its just to brighten a white tablecloth underneath.
