You are sure that you can get O2/BE LLU at your exchange aren't you? O2 do another service that isn't LLU and it's awful, so be careful that you sign up with the right thing.
Yes - I checked on that SamKnows site someone suggested earlier and this is what came up
The following services are available in your location:
BT Wholesale ADSL
BT Wholesale ADSL Max
AOL LLU
O2 / Be LLU
Bulldog LLU
TalkTalk (CPW) LLU
Sky Broadband / Easynet LLU
Tiscali LLU
Orange LLU (Formerly Wanadoo)0 -
The offer from 3 sounds pretty good - since 15gb 3 mobile broadband on a contract is £25/£30 anyway your free laptop might be actually free!
I would say make sure it works in your area too - I've read some real horror stories from people that get mobile broadband contracts and it doesn't work - but if you've used it before I guess you know it works well. Good luck
Yes, they said that as an existing customer for a number of years, that they would give me a 50% discount and quoted me either £22.50 with laptop for 5GB or £30 with laptop for 15GB ..... so I am looking closely into that - I have been toying with the idea of a new laptop for a while and will look into the specs of the ones they are offering but it could be something to go with.....
I keep going back to the o2 broadband thing - £17 for line/broadband (when the home phone service kicks off soon) because my Dad will probably complain if I get rid of the wireless in the house (he scrounges net off me haha!) and I use my iphone on wifi too.... but if this 3 deal is really quite good, I am very tempted.
The three dongle has worked well at home - just nervous about having it as my sole net provider!!0
