Tues 9th March - What small DFW things have you done today?
Comments
-
Hi everyone
First day back at work for me today
Stuggling through. So sleepy and trying to get back into the swing of things.
I am trying to be a good DFW by doing the following:
- staying focussed :rotfl:
- not spending at work all done
- looking at my March budget and current cash flow situ it's gonna be tight
- putting cash in the bank (too much temptation if it stays in my purse!) I'll probably need to get it out at the weekend but hey ho
- putting any coins under 20p in the jar 14p
- looking for/completing any mystery shops/surveys currently made £9.90
- swapping old phone for piggypoints so I can then swap them for vouchers for birthday pressies I need to buy throughout the year 13500 piggypoints = £45 vouchers for me!
- updating spending diary all done. boo to spending!
- smiling that I got £50 in bank charges refunded just by asking still smiling. Now going to see if electricity company can explain my bill!
- batch cooking dinner tonight, lunch tomorrow and dinner on Thursday sorted.
And the biggy!
- paying off credit card #2!!!!! :j:D:jstill smiling!! I've managed to pay it by moving some other £££ to this - obviously need to pay back the other one now but does mean I won't get charged interest. Always a bonus.
I also got a call from them last night asking if I was interested in promotional rates for balance transfers. Whoop whoop. Will need to give them a call back when I do clear it to see if I can maybe get cc#3's balance transferred to them away from a soon-to-be 15.9% card.

Afternoon all!
Happy birthday Triangle! Hope MS is feeling better now?
Today was long but relatively good for a teaching day - tomorrow I'm just teaching in the morning then being taught in the afternoon (policies, not gripping but at least I don't really have to think!)
Today's efforts....- Had brekkie at home
- Took lunch to work and had the bits from yesterday's lunch that I didn't eat
- Having freezer tea - only me tonight OH playing footy
- Walked dog to Pets R Us for wee pads (he has one down when I'm at work just in case he's caught short) - got own brand ones and saved quite a bit and dog and I got a mega walk in the process
- Check banks
- Have a nice bath and relax later with Xmas smellies
- Start another job application
- Noticed local Tesco is closing for a week this Sunday so will pop over on Sunday afternoon to see if there are any bargains
