Tues 9th March - What small DFW things have you done today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Urrrrghhhhhhhhhhhh I feel awful today:( Woke up every hour in the night feeling either freezing cold and shivering or hot and sweaty. My head is pounding....I'm up and attempting to get ready for work but don't know whether to phone in sick....just feel bad, I'm always off right now. Might go in and they can see I really am not well:o

So.....here's my list:
  • check banking
  • daily scratch
  • packed lunches for girls
  • meals from plan tonight
  • Holby tonight...yay!
Sorry for the lack of smilies....I haven't the energy for it;)

Hope all well - have a fab day:p
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Milly! if u have not done so already get back to bed!

I've had a rubbish few days fallen right off the DFW wagon so am gonig to take a big deep breath and TRY HARDER!
blinking creche rang me yesterday morning to go and get DD2 because she has a sore mouth - grrrrrrr i completely disagree that its impetigo cos its got better rather than worse and seeing as her and DD1 are twins and share the bath/towels/dummys/cups etc if it was impetigo she would also certainly have it! but i can't take her in unless i get her cleared by the doc and u can't see a doc here for love nor money unless it was booked last year!
So thats another week of college missed!
guess i'll have to settle for:
    Lots of housework
lots of Hokey Cokey def line drying today its lovely out!
have to go into college to take my library books back but gonna have to take the
twins oh dear no idea how thats gonna go down!
make chicken pasta bake from left over chicken
try and cancel my magazine subscriptions
    cancel some mysterious DDs
find my decree nisi to send to college
send back IR form to say DS1 is staying on in 6th form
start flogging my ann summers party kit on ebay to cover the bill i just had for it!
    get motivated!

gosh too long a list - i think thats half my problem! have a good day everyone!

    Morning all
Milly I'm feeling awful too, no energy, sicky, headachey, just generally terrible. Have loaded up on Anadin and gone into work as we are short staffed - was a nightmare getting DD dressed this morning as she just wanted to play....
Not much going on for me today, just surviving I think
    - Take library book at lunch time and pay fine, depending on how I feel
    - Lunch from home
    - Try and sell more purges, i'm doing really well at the moment
    - Dinner from stores
    - Check banking and cards etc
    - Keep an eye on ebay sales, up to £50.99 in bids so far with tons of watchers!
    - Surveys
    - Update sig to include surveys and purges I think

Urrrggghhhh back to you Milly x

    Morning all,

Milly - get well soon! Hope your boss sent you home!
Triangle - Happy birthday! Hope you get some lovely presents!

Today's list is not that great:

Couldn't sleep last night as boyfriend was tossing and turning - he didn't feel well(possibly after the meal last night where he had seafood)
I decided to do some housework so cleaned the bathroom at 2am!!
Made boyfriend an upset stomach remedy, put him back to bed and sorted out the cupboard downstairs(looks so much better)

    I will check online banking
No spend day as not going out
Call my nan using free mins
    Text my mum for free
    Enter all suitable comps
    Look for jobs

I am hoping that these two jobs I had the interview for either will give me the chance, would be great to leave my current job and have extra cash. cross fingers!

Need to watch catch tv & relax - I am sleepy

    Have a good day everyone!!
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T
  • Morning All,

Hugs to all those feeling poorly and wishing you a speedy recovery. Happy Birthday to Triangle - enjoy your day.

Well having written a mammouth list of 'to do' things yesterday, and only having completed about half of them today I will finish them off and get on with daily housework stuff and look after DS3 & DS2 who are getting over upset tummies.

    I have:

    So I WILL/MUST:

    Get more washing on
    Hang washing out
Clean out inside of car with DS2 whilst DS3 napping
    Make dinner from meal plan
    Prepare packed lunches for tomorrow
    Ironing tonight
Putting ton of clean laundry away
Get results from docs re poorly boys
Check TaeKwonDo classes this month & stick to attending twice/week!:o
Contact Bank re: where are my statements from last 5 months?!
Contact BS re: Savings Balance & what new rate is

Lunch from home for me and little ones
Walk pooch on school run p.m.
