Having ploblems opening Avast 5.0 after downloading

    I decided to uninstall Avast 5.0.418 and installed 5.0.462 which is now running fine.

    Did this via MSE’s article Free Anti-Virus Software.

    I wonder if a corrupted virus signatures caused it not to install properly though I think it just needed reinstalling to be honest.

    It’s very modern looking too and looks better than the one I installed last year. It appears more user friendly as well.
