Wait for CPW to offer upgrade deal on Desire or pre-order?

My contract was up in Dec but I waited for the Nexus, then I saw the Legend....then I read the specs for the Desire :T
Do I wait til the Desire is actually out and ask CPW what they can offer me, or do I preorder with mobilephonesdirect :

The Desire is available from cpw at £30 now????
So why not phone them and ask if they will offer it to you as a cheaper deal....or maybe try the upgrade feature via their web site (just to work out prices).0
