This was originally spotted by "Richard III" on this thread:

However I feel it should be given its own thread, as such cards are few and far between (i.e. Nationwide and Saga).

It seems Audi now offer a credit card which doesn't charge a foreign currency conversion fee. Its a Mastercard and seems to be run by CitiBank. Have not gone through the T&Cs yet, but it looks interesting.

More info on the card here:

http://www.audi.co.uk/audi/uk/en2/financial_services/new_audi_card_hide/0.html

Just looking at their T&C's. Here is the bit about foreign conversions:

"We will convert any Transactions that are made in a foreign currency into Sterling/Dollars (whichever is applicable to your account) at the exchange rate set by Visa or MasterCard on the date we process the Transaction."

However note:

"The use of your card abroad and of Credit Card Cheques drawn on your Account is not covered by the provisions of section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, nor is the transfer of money via an electronic money institution."

This card looks like a winner, unless I'm missing something....

Just spotted a few other benefits:

- 12 Month extended warranty on certain electrical goods (bought in the UK)

- 60 day price promise (again as spotted by "Richard III")
"An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi

I am gutted as I have received a letter advising that Citi will not be operating this card any more.

I am going to be opted in for a Citi Platinum card at 0.5% Cashback.

Does anyone know who will be taking on this Portfolio otherwise will have to find another 0% Foreign currency handling fee card.

Looks like AUDI have ditched branding a Credit card.

My Audi card has been replaced with a Citi Platinum card which I will earn 0.5% cashback for retails spends. Useless as I earn 1% with my CapOne card

Not going abroard for a few months so nearer the time will find another card with 0% handling fee on foreign currency transactions.

Hi... I don't know whether this fits here, but my Halifax "Classic" card does not seem to charge a fee for usage abroad. Is this a mistake? Or is this another of the Saga/Audi style cards?

Not a mistake, probably a benefit of the card or the fee is bundled in with the final posted amount on your statement.
It will be in your t+c's and is normally anything from 1.5 - 2.75%

I often used to save £12/£14 on average when I went away abroad per month :)
