Can i use a sky hub on a BT broadband connection?

BT wanted to charge me £50 for the hub, but i refused, i'm sure i have a old BT hub somewhere, but while searching i came across a old sky hub.0

Sky branded ADSL routers will need unlocking before you can set them up for use on BT. Use google to find out how - you'll need to install manufacturers firmware replacing the Sky firmware.0

Some of the SKY routers can be unlocked quite easily depending on the make / model:

if its the netgear one you should be able to go in via http://192.168.2.1 and change the setup0

Buy a netgear for like £40, then at least you can use any broadband provider you like time after timeKind Regards
