This thread has now been closed. Thanks to all for your contributions. We consider that the thread has run its course. Unfortunately, towards the end, some posts strayed into the realm of personal abuse and we deleted these posts. We would ask that you don’t post on this topic again.

whilst i completely accept this decision (i fear it was inevitable), speaking as someone who invested a lot of time and effort into helping other members who were affected by this issue, i would like to say that i personally resent that remark.

whilst i was highly critical of the company involved, i was never personally abusive, yet some of my posts have been removed too. your statement implies that all the posts removed were abusive, and that is not correct.

i will not comment on the issue again, but i feel i should be allowed the opportunity to set the record straight.

As above. Several posts of mine including important contact information I researched in the hopes that it would help those who had been let down by the company were removed.

I feel it would have been far more appropriate to delete only the posts that strayed into direct name-calling or abuse, rather than a mass removal. During research on this company several MSE members here stumbled upon sensitive information and neglected to post it over privacy concerns. We tried very hard to only post contact details or statements that related directly to the company or the running of the business (such as addresses and phone numbers listed for business use, or statements of character written by the owner, pertaining to the owner's behaviour and attitude towards others).

All in all, I do understand why the thread was closed but respectfully believe that the removal of several innocuous posts was a little overzealous or heavy-handed.

Maybe my post did but I dont think it got out of hand gord? Only published information in the public domain and the stuff she stated she woyuld fulfil but never did and testaments tio that fact?

I think it was locked at the best time, the job was done, it proved that working as a team, we can expose these scammers wide open. Be glad of the recognition that MSE chose NOT to delete the thread.

Where it will continue to act, as an example to the public, and a deterrent to any potential scammers. It was at risk of deletion, and we all know the potential of it getting abused by those determined to get it deleted.

I think MSE chose to keep it in the domain, and locked it to safegaurd a deletion with perfect timing I should add. You all deserve a pat on the back, don't let it sidetrack or put you off, as acting like a team this way, it's what the MSE forum is all about.

Well done to the judicious choices of the mods (?) concerned.We have in the past seen many useful threads deleted.Thanks for just locking it and not removing it-a refreshing change I am sure we all welcome.:starmod:

Ah well, at least it hasn't been deleted, that's the main thing, others will still be able to read it anyway.
