Supergroup Shares (UK Clothing company)

What do people make of these? Worth a punt?

The shares are worth 1p, If I place £500 worth of shares, How do I loose money on this if shares are only worth 1p? Im a new-bee in all this, so a little unsure.

Thanks

Shares can drop to be worth less than a penny. For example Millwall Football Club's shares were worth around a penny back in early 2001 and are now worth 0.02p. So if you had invested £500 in this share back when they were a penny you'd have about £15 worth now.

I didn't realise that they were the people behind Superdry and Bench. Where did you see the listing price for the floatation? I doubt it will be a penny, I think you may have misread.

Yes if you buy shares there is always a risk you can lose money on them.

you lose money if the company goes bust, I've registered, maybe a bit of a gamble, but I like these kinda things, noticed a few folk wearing the Superdry stuff, looks ok.

Edit: how did you find out about the IPO?

I purchased a coat from them, but know them from Cult clothing, seem to be doing well. So if the shares are £0.01p the only way I can loose money is if the company goes bust, is that correct?
